We are lucky enough to have 3 fabulous pieces of Fordite jewelry at HALO. Fordite was created with the over sprayed enamels in the painting bays that gradually compiled over and over again, on the tracks and skids that the car frames were painted on. Over time, many colorful layers built up. These layers of paint were hardened repeatedly in the ovens with the car bodies while they cured. Eventually, the paint build-up would become too thick and heavy, and had to be removed. This is what was created from the paint.
