Please Donate to Our Movember Team

It's Movember, the month formerly known as November, which is dedicated to growing moustaches to raise awareness and funds for men's health issues; specifically cancers affecting men. To show our support for the men in our lives, we Created a MO team.

On Movember 1st, our guys will start with a clean-shaven face. For the rest of the month, these selfless and generous men, known as Mo Bros, groom, trim and wax their way into the annals of fine moustachery. Supported by the women in their lives, Mo Sistas, Movember Mo Bros raise funds by seeking out sponsorship for their Mo-growing efforts

Why are we so passionate about men's health?
*we have lost loved ones to cancer
*1 in 6 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime
*A man is diagnosed with prostate cancer every 2.2 minutes
*1 in 2 men will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime
*24% of men are less likely to go the doctor compared to women

Please support our efforts by making a donation online at
You can even write a check payable to "Movember Foundation", reference
The MoustacHALOs, Registration Number 1340640 and send it to:
Movember Foundation, PO Box 2726, Venice, CA 90294-2726

Funds raised will help make a tangible difference to the lives of others. Through the Movember Foundation and their men's health partners, the Prostate Cancer Foundation and LIVESTRONG, Movember is funding world-class awareness, research, educational and support programs, which would otherwise not be possible.

We have an opening for a counter person in our piercing/jewelry area. The position involves answering jewelry questions and some piercing-related questions as well as helping clients pick out jewelry for new and existing piercings. This job is all about customer service, making our clients feel comfortable and being as helpful as possible.  Also, lots cleaning.

Previous knowledge about piercings and jewelry may be helpful, but it isn't a requirement. We will provide you the training you need to do the job and we will let your fantastic personality and customer service skills to do the rest.

You must be able to retain information, pay close attention to detail, multi-task and remain super friendly in an environment that can be fast-paced and a little stressful at times.

Enthusiasm and interest in piercing are an obvious plus, but you do not have to be heavily pierced or tattooed to get this job. We are looking for someone with the right attitude and not someone with a specific look.

Details and requirements
  • This position will be for 4-5 days/week (25-35 hours/week)
  • Hours will vary each week and occur between 10:45am to 8:30pm.
  • Must be available nights and weekends (the more open your schedule is, the better).
  • Previous face-to-face customer service experience is mandatory (2 years preferred).
  • Did we mention that you need to be friendly and outgoing?
  • This position will not lead to a piercing apprenticeship.
  • Pay will vary depending on experience.
  • If you ask questions in the comment section that have already been answered here, you've almost guaranteed you won't be considered. Remember that thing we mentioned before about "attention to detail"....
Basically, we want someone who is great with people, has a good attitude and understands that customer’s service is about much more than a fake smile and a "May I help you?". Our standards are high, the right person for this job will see that as a good thing and as a challenge, not something to be scared of.

How to Apply

In order to make the process easier for everyone involved, including you, we've established a few guidelines:
  • Bring in a resume and fill out an application (should take about 30 minutes).
  • Resumes & applications can be turned in during normal business hours (you're on the Internet, you can figure out what those hours are).
  • Applications that are emailed or mailed to us will not be considered.

Sunday, September 4, 2011

We will be open Labor Day,
the 5th - Noon to 6pm
However, on Sunday 9/11
we will be closed in remembrance
of those who were lost.

Lucky 13

13 years ago today many things happened.  Glen was rocking to Everybody
(Backstreet's Back) by the Backstreet Boys and Kelsey was re-discovering the
comedic genius of Adam Sandler in The Wedding Singer.  1998 was a stellar
year, the most memorable event for both of us, was the establishment of Halo
Precision Piercing, llc.
While $1.15 per gallon of gas is a thing of the past, Halo is still here, 13
years later, our Lucky 13.  Still embracing the philosophy that quality
jewelry, immaculate environment, and courteous staff are what make Halo
gleam like the western setting sun in the Arizona state flag.
We would love to thank all our employees over the years, from those that
made life interesting, to those that, well, made life VERY interesting....
you all have a very special place in our hearts, for being part of what
Halo is today.
We would also like to thank our friends, our family, our manufacturers...
yes, ours.... many of you have become more than friends. You are truly a part
of our family.  Thank you for all your support, for helping us when we needed it,
for making that sacrifice, for that we are indebted to you.
Last but not least, our clients...what can we say, you have been with us
since the beginning.  We have shared your birthdays, we have embraced your
rites of passage, we have tried our very best to be there for you.  For that
we thank you.
While back in 1998, Bill and Monica were heavy news....Halo was just a
little shop on the corner of Central and Camelback.  13 years, later, Bill
and Monica are not news, Halo is still on the corner of Central and
Camelback and still abiding by the same philosophy that they started

Sneak Peak Jewelry

Please be our guest to the HALO SNEAK PEEK of our latest jewelry designs. We have received new styles and limited editions from several of our favorite designers. However, due to our limited display space our HALO SNEAK PEEK gives you the opportunity to purchase this unique jewelry before we either send it away or put it in back stock until we get the room to display these amazing pieces. Very, very incredible, I don't know how... these designers continually top themselves. Jewelry ranges from 8 Gauge to 1" inch in various woods, horn, silver, brass, copper, gold, rose gold and stone.

This event will be one-on-one with Glen and Kelsey. You will be able to make custom orders on other jewelry besides lobe jewelry. You may also make custom orders on any of jewelry in the sneak peak in your size if we do not have it on hand.
